In our opinion OpenOffice.org is the most comprehensive open source office productivity suite available. OpenOffice.org is the open source version of Star Office, which is sold and supported by Sun Microsystems.

OpenOffice.org is supported through newgroups and forums and independent companies like us.  If you are an organization that requires support from a larger company, Star Office is a good fit. It's low cost and excellent support through Sun make it a viable alternative to higher priced office suites. 

OpenOffice offers a Word Processor, a Spreadsheet and a Presentation program, and they can all read and write the files created by Microsoft® Office products. OpenOffice also provides an easy to use Database manager, a Drawing program and more.
